Mellieħa is where Malta’s long sandy bay is, and with it the summer resort weddings — ceremonies on a terrace above Għadira, receptions that run from sunset into the night, guests spread across the hotels at Selmun and the bay. It is also the closest base to the Gozo ferry, so Mellieħa bookings often belong to a two-island weekend.
